Have you ever been to Insa-dong?

Have you ever been to Insa-dong, Ppong Da Bang? In Insa-dong, you can find lots of places that show the history of Korea. This is a business card of Ppong Da Bang. Very cute, isn't it?

There are many things from the late 20th century. You can see school uniforms from the old movies on the wall, and different kinds of posters on the ceiling. Suddenly I felt as if I was traveling back in time.

Among everything else, 'the old textbook' is today's best for me. This physical education textbook looks so old. Also I can find this textbook was published in 1988. I'm going to introduce the old textbooks that remain us old school days.

Above two books are elementary school textbooks from 1988. Can you see their cover decorated with colorful pictures? Also, the title on the right textbook is"arithmetic", which is changed into "mathematics" these days. How interesting!

 NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF KOREAN HISTORY

This Korean history textbook is from 1994. Although it is old, this history textbook looks similar to current one.  I  can tell it has very simple design. The left one below is a mathematics textbook from 2005, and the right one is a physical education textbook from 2002. Textbooks have been developing in a better way. I remember I studied Korean history with the textbook looked like this when I was a student.

This is the latest textbook made in the 21st century. This Korean history textbook was verified in 2010. Compared to the textbook from 1994, it shows there was a great change.

How do textbooks look like in the future? Probably there will be no paper textbooks because of the developed electronic equipments. By that time, people will remember present textbooks as now we do those from the past.
